I thought I’d share this story, it’s really more of an anecdote. Last week I sent out the first direct mail pieces to potential clients, 427 pieces actually since last Saturday.

Yesterday, I met with a business reporter from the Austin paper. He had contacted me last week about a piece on people who are starting a new business in the current economic climate after getting laid off or leaving their job. During our meeting I received a the first phone call from one of the businesses I had included in my initial mail-out. I was understandably excited, and shared it with the reporter.

I know it was just coincidence that I received the call while I was with the reporter, but it felt like Serendipity embodied was winking at me saying “You made the right choice, things are going to turn out ok”.
