The afternoon gym visits are more because I'm done with work for the day, but have sat on my ass most of the day. I can spend 60 minutes on an elliptical fairly easily if I have something interesting to watch on TV or on my iPhone. I generally just feel like I want to get of the house (working from home) at the end of the day more than anything else.

I totally agree about eating like an adult, I think that was part of my problem after I left the service. I still ate like I was when I was very active and not spending 8 hours a day in a cube.

Congrats on the 20 pounds!! That totally rocks!

your gym time scares me a bit. I am currently doing 3 days a week workout of 45 minutes of cardio, (rotation between bike, elip, and treadmill) and weight training.
I have not lost much actual poundage on the scale, but am wearing clothes i have been able to fit in since 2005. dieting also....being over 40, i realize that i am fighting for every ounce i lose. It is not fun, but i have lost 20 pounds in the last year and it has not come back...so i keep going. i think the hardest part for me has been and continues to be learning to eat like an adult and not the teenager i used to be, and of course finding peace with that. i really think that you have to be able to find peace within yourself for the changes being made, or you will not make the lifestyle changes that have to happen to sustain the losses you have worked so hard to acheive. so there. :-)
