For some unknown reason I recently started thinking about what my at-bat song would be, you know the song that’s played when baseball players come to the plate to hit… or when professional wrestlers (wrasslers?) enter the arena.
As a child of the 80′s I’m partial to the songs of my youth. There’s really only one song that consistently stirs my blood though…
It’s a great song that I want to turn up loud everytime I hear it. In a previous life when I was in the Army, it was used as the soundtrack for a feel-good video about the unit I was in. AC DC and Howitzers… how can you go wrong?
So what’s your at-bat song?

Mine has to be The Pretenders Brass in Pocket — not necessarily hard-rockin’, but full of attitude. It came out when I was just nine years old or so, but has been my ego-boosting song when I needed a little reminder to pick myself up.
I, being melodramatic and moody, don’t have just one song that fits the bill. For example:
When I’m fuming hot mad, Hair of the Dog/Nazareth
When I get through the mood, We Are the Champions/Queen
And for the romantic at bat song, Planet Caravan/Pantera version.
Here is a youtube music video tribute using that last song and interspersing it with Keanu Reeves’ scenes from the Dracula movie (thank you Songza.com). Very crazy/sexy/cool;

Good choices!
Based off Armondo’s response I need to que up some more situational songs… hmm… the endless possibilities.
